Message: I was just wondering if anyone can tell me of any shore based squid spots in the harbour or botany bay.
I need my squid so that i can tangle with a few kingies.
regards charlie.

Message: I see "big" squid every weekend at Kirrabilly (next to the old submarine base). There is a breakwall in front of a park.
You have to go (at) high tide and they are very very difficult to catch. I think that they are awake to the jigs.
I have only caught 2 - but at high tide they are everywhere (this is early morning but last weekend they were there until midday).
Use a small size 2 orange jig (I have found this to be the best colour.
Good luck
