Hi All,
Just thought I'd vent my frustration with squid.
I fish a spot in the harbour every weekend for fish with varied sucsess - from where I fish you can see loads of squid up to 40 cms.
I went out and bought a few squid jigs and all the gear. But goddam they are the most cunning, hard to catch fish in the sea.
I have only ever caught two of them but the enjoyment of outsmarting them makes it one of the most enjoyable types of fishing.
Hint: If you can see the squid checking out the jig I have had sucsess by letting it sink to the bottom. The squid will check it out before lunging at it - then you've got him.
