Has anyone caught Calamari to recently?

Would like to see more reports on what people are catching.

I'll start Off,

Fished Portsea 6-10 am Sat 11 Jan.

Caught 3 small 200-500gm Calamari, 1 serpia(cuttlefish) 1.5 kilo. A little quiet, but beautiful day for fishing.

Others were also pulling up similar catches.

Still is search for the bigger monsters, but i don't think we'll see them again till next November.

OK down to business.

The weed beds off Safety Beach are growing back, but the calamari are quiet. I caught a large cuttlefish and the missus got two calamari before we moved on. I caught 2 octopi just east of the mussel farm.

I tried the beds off Tootgarook boat ramp and it was dead. That place only apperas to fish well around the bottom of the tide.

All my Mediterranean friends are also finding it tough.

I've tried close in against the Mt Martha wall but found too many rocks. Looks like I'll be giving Canadian Bay a shot. Any reports from that area.
