Noticed some other boats using Hand Lines. When squiding from a boat, on the drift, what is your preference, Hand Line or Rod? AK Guest   23/1/2003 12:53:14 RE: Hand line or Rod IP: Logged Message: hi zep, i dont think there is a hard and fast rule as to whether or not you should use a rod or handline. when i am fishing for fish i usually have a squid jig floating out the back of the boat on a handline.
