Hi guys i dont see many posts up so i thought i would chuck on up..

im new to all this squid fishing and i have brought the gear and all just wondering if someone could help me out and sorta let me know when a good time would be to go this week?

does a northernly wind at 20knots really effect squid fishing ? would the lures still work and what would be a good set up ... im from craigieburn so its a massive journey for me to catch a squid so im hoping to actually get something soon ... durning the weeks i can only fish at night as i work and weekends i can do whatever really ..

thanks in advance guys i apprecaite any knowledge shared

Hey I'm going down to queenscliff this Saturday and I like to cover all bases like having a baited jig under a float while I cast out past it to. Catch any squid that might be swimming past or looking at the baited jig I use black with purple spots and red eyes I find work best during the day
