Hi guys,
While I was in Shanghai I stopped at the fishing tackle stores on Jin Sha Jiang Lu which is in Putuo District. The shops start from around street number 2300. It is quite a long street!!
There are about 20 shops selling a range of fishing tackle. One shop at the end had quite a lot of rock fishing gear (e.g. shoes with spikes, lifejackets etc for rock fishing). I was glad to see that the prices offered to me as a foreigner were not over the top.
We got there by catching a train to Jinshajiang Rd South Train station (which is on Metro Line No. 3).
We then caught a bus. I think it was bus number 67. And that took us all the way up Jinshajiang Rd to the shops.
I have attached a few photos below so you will know what to look for.
There was no fly fishing gear as far as I could see. There were a few squid jigs but there was not much of a selection. The focus was mostly bait fishing.
Cheers, Glen
