Humboldt Squid Dive Video (with Attacks)

Whats up squid lovers!!

check out this video we made of Humboldt squid diving. We have never had someone injured in this type of dive with us, we have all of the saftey gear.

nice one GTB! how does it feel, knowing the squid would really like to eat you? :thumbsup2: that would freak me out!

Honestly, once you realize that they will attack you and you have your mind set you are better off. It the first few times one swims up to you and just looks at you through your mask and just hovers there thats scary. They have no fear of divers whatsoever. And as we can see in the video, they will attack you for no reason other than they think you could be good to eat. Notice how I get hit on my camera at the same time the other diver gets nailed. You can see that they hunt in a pack and hit you at the same time. With all of the saftey gear we wear, its more a mentaly scary thing now than actual danger. it sure gets your heart going though!! Better than a shark cage dive by far.
