hi peeps   i am new to squid fishing , just been on holiday to benalmadena  costa del sol  spain  as always when i go on holidays i took my telescopic rod and reel with a small bag of essentials (hooks floats weights etc) while fishing in the harbour i found a lure with two sets of strange looking hooks on the end , i have fished since 8 yrs old and now 47 and have never seen any lure like this . i was told by a local fisherman that it was a squid lure . i put the lure into my bag and was going to bring it home to show my brother (fisherman too) but on the last day decided to give it a go after approx fifteen mins i saw a squid attack the lure close in but didn`t catch it 15 mins later i reeled in my first squid which i gave to local fisherman who was more than happy to take it of my hands  .  i am planning a return trip around october will the squid still be there this time of year ?  anyone know of any squid being caught around bridlington whitby area in the uk  ? is night fishing better than day fishing ? any info wecome  regards  hollycopter
