New to the site and quite new to squidding as well - but want to have a crack at it.
Was thinking about heading out this week and just wanting to know where are the best places at the moment in the Freo area - off the mole or in the river?
And is sunset still the best time at this point in the year?
Any advice would help massively
Cheers

hey sterlo if your still looking for a good spot i have been geting squid at point peron you have to walk a liitle bit to the point called john point , it is the most northern point of point peron have been getting 4 to 6 each trip within a hour while chasing salmon. jigs are ok but i find using a spike with a mulie suspended 1 metre under a large float the best way . they have been 1kg to 1.5kg pretty big heyHi

Just thought i'd say what a great site

Does any body know when the squid leave The Torbay area.?
At the moment squidding is great at Princess Pier in Torquay as well.
