Hello all,
What fishing conditions are best for clear body jigs- the ones that are still cloth covered and with some colour, but when you hold them up to the light, you can see right through them. I've got both fluro coloured and natural coloured types. They're Yama Live 3.0, and Yo Zuri Q RS 3.0, unmodified.
I've tried on a couple of occasions to fish them- once at night and once upon sunset, without much success. But bagged a few when I switched to foil bodied jigs.
I'm guessing they don't contrast too well at night; there's not much of a sillouette against the sun or pier lights. What do you guys think? When are clear body jigs most effective?
Cheers,
Fatty.

A friend of mine had success using the new Daiwa Emeraldas Nudes at night.
I've caught calamari during the day with the Nudes too.
Okay, they are a little different to the Yama/Yo-Zuri clear types, but close enough in terms of transparent bodies.
