First stop, Clifton garden - tried there for 30mins and got nothing so move on.
Second stop, Manly - Spend around 15mins with various jigs and finally landed myself a nice Southern Calamari. It was caught on a Yamashita 2.0 natural colour jig. For the next 30mins I was hoping to find its family members but got nil. By this time my missus started to get grumpy so time for me to head home.
My thoughts - I wasn't expecting this budget rod to be anywhere similar to a real top notch egi rod (not that I have tried ones and can tell the difference). But it was more of a stepping stone to start catching the fun of squidding. I'm still trying to learn how to work the jig like those Pros do but certainly this rod allows me to cast the jig alot further than my bream rod.
