does anyone know if lighting up a squid jig before casting makes much of a difference?

Hi Ben,
By lighting up squid jigs i presume you mean luminous jigs.
At night, i have had most of my success with lumious jigs, charging them with a torch. I find that at the dark spots of the pier the squid tend to go towards to lumious jigs.
So, in my opinion, lighting them up at night makes a big difference to me, but in the day i dont really think it would matter.
