hi blue, yes I did work at fisheries for a little while! that was quite a few years back.

seems to me that no two places have a jig colour in common.

orange and blue up here and down south pink and green. go figure ??????

starting to think that maybe squid are a bit coloured blind .

you see the docko's on cuttlefish and the colour shows they put on but they are in shades of colours and not bright colours ...reds..orange & yellows if you follow me.

I've been watching them with close interest lately and have seen the go from almost invissable to dark brown in colour before taking a jig , normaly when I'm chasing squid the dark ones hanging in a bunch are harder to get to take a jig as the light ones but then had the light ones put on an instant dark show before striking a jig....wtf ???? beats me.

whats your theory ???
