i have one jig with a rattle and never got a squid on it but i must say i only used it for a few casts.
it does increase casting distance.....
i think a rattle would scare off squid but at same time they dont hunt by listening.
same as they dont hunt by smell.
its all with their eyes.
a injured baitfish or prawn makes a high pitch noise when in distress not a click noise like a rattle.
i have read that the rattle does make the same sound as a prawn someone on here uses them and recons there good.
i persoanly dont realy mind, wen im buying a jig i look for size sink rate and appearance. but it does add weight which is good for casting. which jigs are u talking bout? are u talking bout the diawa emeraldas???
cheers
