Kakyadaks ™ - New Squid Jig On The Market
#5
You guys cannot be serious with that name! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ink' />

Can I pose a question in regards to soft body squid jigs. How durable are they? No actually seeing one of the jigs ( I know Shimano have recently released a similar product) how do they compare to normal cloth jigs? I am quite sure a few bites from some pesky leather jacketsand that jigs would be gone!!
Hi SouthCoastSquidder

I would like to reply to your question, but cant find any other opened window to reply. I trust you will get this. If I make a mistake - sorry - still learing.

Soft Body Squid Jigs and how durable are they?

Ok, method 1 - working the jig (casting and retrieving)

We seem to get more hits with this new / scented/ soft body jig than with any other hard body jig.

Using this method the jig showed some kind of attackness but overall performed very well.

Method 2 - attached to a float ( more severe testing)

Kakyadaks performed great, more like Silver Whiting and the squid really hooked themselves up on the soft baits ( unbelievable), unlike the hard body jigs ( we tried several inclusive Shrimp Hunters etc) or any other plastic/fabric covered jig, were squid was biting but soon let go of the actual jigs. We experienced this a number of times. - Several other fishing buddies confirmed same findings -

Now, we don't know if this is due to the "extra softness" or due to the "exorbitant smell" but the combination seems to work fine. ( we appreciate and like to ask for others to please comment on the new Karyadaks - Squid Jigs)

On average the Kakyadaks outperformed by about 10 : 1

Each jig lasted about 10 - 12 squid ( method 2) Now if you calculate how much money would you spend on Silver Whiting in comparisson to the Kakyadaks.

Its great to see that the word "Kakyadaks" puts a smile on peoples faces. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbsup2:' />

Thank you for your <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Angel' /> comment!
