Monterey Canyon
#1
Ben got some of his hospital work brothers to test there strengths against the great squid of Monterey canyon. Conditions were mild with

a long swell small chop and light breeze. We started our drift on the south side of the canyon at 800 ft instant hookups just off the

bottom for all rods 4 drifts for 20 squid and dead tired arms for the medical madmen !!

he new GE 5 allows for some pretty spectacular undersea views of Monterey Canyon. Included here are three versions of the same tour. The first two use the "path" feature. Before you begin that here are my suggested settings:

Tools > Google Earth Options > Touring > Camera Tilt Angle = 75 degrees ; Camera Range = 150 m; Speed 400 - 500

Click on the "path" symbol that appears when you highlight the file and the tour will begin. Uncheck the box to hide the path line; check it to see the path.

The third tour uses the new "video" option. Just click on the video camera symbol in the lower right corner of "My Places" that appears when you highlight the file and go. Everything is set.
