Trolling For Squids

I noticed that none of you catch squid with the trolling technique. In Croatia this technique is very popular.

Most use the Rapala lures as shown:









We use nylon 0.40 and attach the file directly with 'Rapala' knot. Pull it behind a boat about 20 meters and speed is 2.5 - 3 knots. Mostly they catch along the coast in the twilight.

In Mallorca,Spain. We allso use that sistem. But slightly different.



We use 0,26 fluorocarbon(sometimes 0,28 or 0,30) And we use two rapalas instead of one. There is about 80 cm. between one rapala and the other one.

Pepe, some my friends use two Rapala's. I don't like it, for me is better only one and when squid is catched i just drive in a circles and catch others.
