Hi Guys
#1
G'day,

Im totally new to squidding, and never tried it but after seeing some shows featuring squid fishing, it got me interested. Im thinking about getting some yamashita's in natural colours, and maybe a pink a crack.

I've also read some info in the batemans bay sub-section but I really wouldnt have a clue where to fish for squid on the clyde river apart from maybe near the bridge at nelligen...or the boat jetty possibly, based on the constant light etc. I will be down there for a week from this sunday & I will be land-based while on the clyde, but will have a boat to head out in.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Love the site BTW...heaps of great info. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Cheers,

Kingo.

Its good to observe your surroundings, for weedy patches, seaweed and rocky bottoms as squid frequent areas with alot of cover to ambush prey. Keep a look out for baitfish at the water's edge, as its a good indicator the squid are out there with their eyes on the prize.
