hi i am new to this site as have been having a good look around and there seems to be a fair amount of knowldege passed around which is great!

i havent done a lot of squid fishing and spend most of my time fishing in my boat around cows rhyll area if any1 knows of good locations to catch squid in or around these areas it would be great, and any tips on squid jigs would be great also.

i have caught an octopus off the cowes pier but no squid for me! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> if you have access to a boat you might have more luck than i did <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

There's a few squid kicking around Cow's pier.

Nothing huge.



They breed in the weed beds along the beach to the left of the pier (as you walk out).
