Octopus Attack!
#21
i seem to catch them about as much as squid at the moment. It's usually the first thing I catch when i'm at mornington pier, I kept one as bait, and the others i let go because I have no clue what to do with them, I heard they where good to eat but cleaning them was another matter. They freak me out, they don't just lie there like squid does, they got all these tenticles trying to take the jig off them and they roll around. I'm not even going to tell you how i managed to pick one up to throw it back... all I remember was that I had a hand towel doulbled over and I was trying to pick it up by it's head and all these tentacles where going everywhere. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

a friend once showed me how to kill an octopus. he somehow managed to turn its head inside out!!! I can't remember exactly how he did it, but it was very fast and effective.

cheers, glen <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thats not bad <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> i have hooked a few octopuses with squid jigs but can hardly land them. i fish in a rocky area and its a challenge to keep them clear from the rocks. once they grab onto a rock, its over <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
