Ok here it is....... :geek

WHAT YOU NEED

 Homemade mould of a float

 Expanding foam

 Plastic tube

STEP 1 First make a hollow mould in the shape of a float

STEP 2 Then get a can of expanding foam from a hardware store for around $5 dollars. Then insert the plastic tube into the middle of the mould, then fill the mould One-quarter. Leave to expand

STEP 3 Remove from the mould and remove any excess foam from the float with a sharp knife. Paint if desired.

*** Also: to make a weighted float just push a “bean” sinker in to the middle of the foam whilst WET.

What a good idea, thanks for that. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Any idea how many floats you can make out of 1 can of foam?

Also how do they compare to commercially available floats (aside from being cheaper)?

Cheers

Jaz
