Just thought id give a milestone a mention - its done on most forum based websites these days.

I think that 500 posts is a great effort from Glen. Every single one of them, is informative, and in the best interests of the rest of us. Glens efforts in getting this website up and running in the first place, and the continual efforts he puts in are to commended. This is the only squid based website that i have found, and i have personally learnt plenty since finding it.

Well done on the 500 posts, and lets hope that this site continues to grow, so that we can all improve our squid fishing abilities!!

Well done Glen!!

Cheers!

Nathan

I agree 100% nathan, its hard to find a forum that isnt full of useless information. i never thought that when i came onto the net looking for squidding techniques, that i would ever find such a site, and one that has info about good ol south oz...... keep up the good work glen.

PS. Nathan, where would i find razorback jigs. i been to a cuple of fish shops around noarlunga area, but without any luck...... cheers all..... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/zorro.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':au:' />

Thanks guys, I didn't even notice I had stepped over the 500 mark. I just had a look at the members list and there are a few people that are catching up to me! I better keep posting! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':au:' />

One thing I have noticed is that the forum has almost 2000 posts. I think this is great! It is finally gaining some momentum. In those early days it was hard to generate conversations. Now whenever I check the site there is always a few people browsing the forums....even very late at night! Thanks to everyone for keeping the place alive and kicking! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wh' />

lol people floating around late at night....... Guilty..... i work arvos and dont finish till two so im normally on here after i get home for an hour or so... nathan, apparently the other side of the reef and just away from it if u got a small boat isnt too bad, but pt noarlunga jetty and the onk and everywhere else around here is totally fished out..... the numbers been diminishing for years, and im afraid the same thing is beginning to happen to rabid bay, though i cant confirm it, ive heard fishing is getting worse and worse every year..... thanks all, and SAVE THE MURRAY......

I sometimes come here late at night too glen, but not all that often. Im usually off about midnight!!

But yes, the posts are picking up momentum, and its great!! The more people that find it, the more conversations will pop up, and the better the site will be.

Glen - maybe you need some stickers - like bumper stickers to put on our cars - just as a way of advertising...........

Paulus - thanks mate. Yeah, the storm damage at rapid bay has killed the only decent spot i felt, so its a real pity, but at certain times the gar, tommies and squid still really turn it on there.........

As for the murray - i actually live at murray bridge, so its close to me, but my personal experiences tell me the fishing is getting better - i had never seen a catfish caught before this year, i have now seen 4. Also, i had only ever caught 2 legal callop - both 35cm, but now i have a 54cm fish, and plenty in the mid to high 40s under my belt. The fishing in the murray this summer, for me and my mates, was nothing short of sensational - we were catching 7-8 callop in some sessions, with not a carp between them........

Cheers!
