Adelaide metro - SA
#1
Probably gonna wet a line on one of the Adelaide jetties tomorrow as the old lady is going into adelaide anyway. Will probably fish either Glenelg or Brighton - not sure which yet - probably Glenelg, as thats where my Mum is going. Hopefully tuck into some squid, and maybe some other fish too.

Report when i get back!

Cheers!

Nathan
SA - the land of the bigger fish. The fish on the east, measure the least, but if you head west, you'll be bringing in the best!!

Well didnt end up going. Next planned trip will be next week. Either Monday or Thursday depending on weather and work..........

Will be a purely squid target trip - gonna try cape jervis, second valley, rapid bay, wirrina and probably the bluff on the way home..........

Cant wait - hopefully with some warmer weather that we are having they will be out and about...........

Cheers!

Ive lived in adelaide, down south around Hallett cove for 15 years and i have been fishing for a few years and i havent found any where good where i can catch BIG squid 3kg+. i only catch really small ones. about 7cm.

so if you guys have any ideas (an hour from Hallett Cove or Sheidow Park) drop me a line. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

I find it odd that theres only baby squid. A 7cm squid is probably only 1 month old and it means you missed the mummas by a few weeks. Those tinies dont travel far at that age and where did they come from? - From kg+ models <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
OWNED.

You wont get consistent 3kg+ but they are about. Cape Jervis is where i got my only ever 3kg model........The bluff at Victor Harbour is your best bet - they regularly get some monsters down there............But take a crab net, as you'll need it to lift them onto the jetty!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

Hey, Definately anywhere from Victor Harbour right around To port noarlunga jetty. i have never personally fished off of Pt noarlunga but always see fresh ink on the jetty, my fav place is second valley, with rapid bay not too far behind. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/as.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':au:' />
Remember you cant keep all of the squid happy all of the time, only some of the squid some of the time...

G'day,

To be honest I never have any luck squidding metro! The only places I've seen squid being caught is Glenelg right at the end of the jetty and Brighton at the end also. Anywhere with seaweed I reckon. Pt Norlunga is good but a long way for me. Go to Adrossan if you want to show ur kid some squid! use a float and a tommy as a teaser, you cant go wrong!
