Greetings,

New member to site. I have tried squid around Redondo but have been fairly slow. I saw schools but hardly any bites.

Also have been searching the internet on how to make the hooks and found ones made by Calamariman. So if you're still here and willing to help, please inbox me.

Everyone else, good luck and happy squidding.

Welcome. It's been pretty slow throughout most of the sound. If you look at the pier pilings you will probably see why. The super bright white mush collecting at their bases is the eggs the squid are laying. I had one good biting school come through once while I was out myself. All other times there was next to nothing. Last time was due to the stupid seal and the sea otters. BTW... sea otters are dumb enough to bite a squid jig and then look at you like its your fault when they finally release it.
