New Squidder in the Ranks

Hey Guys,



Names Daniel, new to squid fishing but have still done a bit in the past but have never focused on this area, I mostly fish for Gummys, Snapper, Salmon, Trout etc. Getting into squiding, used to get them off Lorne Pier and Port Cambpell Jetty going to go to Portland soon to have a go around the Marina and Breakwater.

I have yet to catch a gummy! Closest I have come is an elephant shark <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

They take alot of time and luck <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I fished all night for 11 hours and 10 out of those 11 only pinkies and salmon were caught.then it all went quiet and suddenly rods were bending over. We caught three in one hour! Its amazing cause when they come they come. And usaully in numbers.
