Went to queenscliff thursday night,the pier was full house!!standing room only,must be a lot of guys taking sickies!the seal was in good form ,I saw him take 2 squid right off the guy next to me as he was pulling them in, why chase them when all he has to do is wait till someone hooks one then just go over and take it, anyway getting back to the report,the place was on fire the best I've seen it so far this season, from 5pm to 9.30pm every body cleaned up, the average was about 4 to 8 squid per person,around 1/2 to 1.5kg if you go down before the next rain you'll see what I mean, black ink everywhere,after 9.30 the place went dead, they all disapeared,I'll be going down again friday night and give a another report soon after, regards peter d.
