Thanks for your in depth advice Pete.I'm dying to get out to Queenscliff but the weather of late hasn't been the best.I know to die hard fishermen the weather is not a factor cos they just love to fish.You know you read the papers and I was sooo rapt when I discovered this webpage,and they say they are cleaning up at Queenscliff,and I have this illusion that I can just rock up there and catch something like everyone else.But I'm probably kidding myself.I was thinking of maybe having a look one night and ask a few questions and see with my own eyes how things are done.
 
I really appreciate your advice and it is good to know but I think it also made me realise that there are many factors you have to take into consideration.Not just "rock-up" there because you have read it somewhere and expect to clean up.
 
Anyway,I also got a short response from Frank
suggesting to try Brighton.So...only because it's much much closer,I'm going to try my hand over there.Thanks again for your words and I hope to write to you again with some good news.
 
If not, maybe you can show me the ropes one night. :-)
