Hi all,
You may have noticed lately that my website is being taken over by advertising junk!
I apologise for this. If you use the uni.cc website addresses, then pop-up windows appear. I know this is really annoying!!! To avoid these, just go back to the original web addresses:
www.geocities.com/squid_fishing/
or
members2.boardhost.com/squidfish/
You will still notice however that when you visit the Southern Calamari Homepage a small advert pops up promoting geocities. Geocities changed their advertitisng structure and I can't stop this add from appearing. Before it used to be at the bottom of the page where it was much less annoying.
Also, when you use the chat board, an extra window may open up, (even if you don't use the uni.cc address). This ad comes from boardhost. I can get rid of that one but I would need to pay a monthly fee. I wasn't planning on spending too much money on this website since it has just been a hobby so far.
So there we have it. Lots of adverts. The only solution is for me to start forking out dollars for professional web hosting. I'm still umming and arring about that option.
