Squidding at night
Posted by Tom on January 7, 2002, 8:27 am

I am a recreational fisherman from Greece with a small boat, and have some experience squid fishing during the day, with moderate success.

However, I have encountered difficulties squid fishing at night. The method that I had been taught was to shine a light off one side of the boat to attract the squid, while jigging on the other side of the boat. I can see the squid attracted to the light, unfortunately, I have not experienced much success in catching any.

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how to modify this technique, or perhaps, had a different technique which they could share with me.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.
Tom
