beginners for catching squid

i'm a beginner for catching squid. i saw the weather in melbourne is going to be very fine and i'm planning to go squid catching at port philip bay jet with my parents at around 6 pm tomorrow night. could any expert please advise me about what bait i should use, where should i start fishing? this is urgent and i hope i can get a reply asap. thanks.
