I hit Queenscliff in the wind and cold last weekend (Sat 13th) from 9pm-2am.
6 of us fishing in my group and only 1 banjo shark. I chased squid all night, along with about 8 others along the pier and I only saw 3 squid taken in all that time. 2 quite large ones near the jetty past the shed and one tiny one just before the shed.
Either way, we enjoyed the long drive and something different to do. Seems like I've made fishoes out of most of my friends now!
Despite all the happy reports of catches around the bay, everybody is saying this is the worst year in memory. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Never happier than on a quiet pier, on a cold, dark, wet night, with a bucket to sit on, pole in hand and a fully charged iPod.
