G,day all,
After being nagged at by nearly everybody on the jetty over a period of time, "Take the Cuttle home and cook it up, tastes sweeter than Calamari". This morning we decided to keep the Cuttlefish we caught.
The problem we are having is getting the ugly buggers off the jigs before the decide to devour them. I have broken 2 jigs trying to get them out. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':oops' /> Now, i know i could stab the ugger in the head and kill it, but what if i want to release it alive? <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wh' /> Trying to release your jig as you would a Squid doesn't work at all.
Any ideas here would be appreciated.
cheers

p.s. Not a good nights fishing, 3 Cuttles and 7 Squid, there's always next time.

' /> the thought of someone with their butt in the air tickling a cuttlefish while waiting for a hissing noise just appealed to my warped sense of humour.Sorry.In reality I think you must have real greedy cuttlefish down that way.I guess you have tried pushing the jig back a short way and then out?Or would some kind of custom made hookout be a help?Poly pipe slightly larger than the jig with a slit down the side to get it onto the line maybe? <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
