Off the Flinders jetty there is amost always pike splashing about. Like a few others i've tried to snag them using a variety of means, floated bait, unweighted bait, lures ....no luck.
Recently i've had a bit of luck on the other side of the bay using soft plastics. The most successfull has been a plastic that is dark brown and a green with some flurescence. I have lost most because I only use 6lb line and trace.
Still learning to catch these tricky buggers. What is your experience with them?

' /> The ocasional on small live bait. But for some reason during the day they don't seem to be at the jetty. But I found I can catch heeps of them over the weed beds at low tide, or close too on silver spoons. So I just let other people waist their time trying to catch em and pay a little attention when the ocasin strikes that one is caught.
