What Line Do You Use For Squid Fishing?

I've been using 8 lb mono. Last time i used 8lb fireline, and it wasn't good at all (and lost a couple of jigs to snag...) So what line do you guys usually use?

I use 8lbs braid with a 3 foot 8lbs mono leader myself and have never had a probem with it.
