Found this on the web:

Salt and Pepper Squid

Ingredients...

* 1 lb whole squid
* 4 oz plain white flour
* 1 tbsp sea salt
* 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
* 1-2 tbsps chilli powder( or 5-spice)
* groundnut oil for deep frying
* Lemon wedges to serve
* Sweet Chilli Sauce ( optional)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instructions...
1. Clean squid in the usual way and cut into 1" slices. Score the inside flesh in a diamond pattern.
2. Mix the flour, salt, pepper and chilli or five spice powder in a bowl.
3. Heat the oil to 180 C in a deep fryer or frying pan.
4. Toss the squid in the seasoned flour and shake off the excess. Drop one at a time into the hot oil. Fry for 2 minutes and remove. Drain on kitchen paper. Dont overcrowd the basket
5. Garnish with the lemon wedge and serve with sweet chilli sauce if desired.

Cheers
Jaz :cry:
