I began squiding about 6 years ago. IMy wife and I were staying at the Hyatt for our aniversery early May 2005. I witnessed many people on the bridge catching squid like crazy. the jigs were quite large.

My wife and I have gone squiding ever since our visit. We have met many fellow squiders over the past years. Spawny, Tony, Allen, Travis. Buster blue and so manymore.

Every year the people that catch the most squid are using smaller and smaller jigs.

What will the squid flavor be this year?

My guess would be Lrg/Med early in the season...Something like double or triple dropper loops with zuri ultras, lazers &/or lenses...then going smaller as the season progresses, smaller "shrimp/prawn style" jigs, no weights.

Wonder what the money jig will be this yr...
