Jaz,

sorry mate but i can't make it tonight, Fishing Party commitments...

I was thinking last night that we had better enjoy floundering while we can cause once they start dredging the shipping channels the turbidity in the water may spell the end to floundering.... and squiding wouldn't be too far behind either :th ;)

Hehe, no worries fellas, the weather is being seriously uncooperative.
Wind is supposed to be abating through the day, but it will still be too rough.
Another day..........

Went squiding saturday arvo. Headed out to get some sea urchins but the water was VERY discoloured, i couldn't even see the bottom in 1.5m of water it was that bad :ink

I wasnt too hopefully of any squid but somehow managed 2 at Point Cook, both on orange jigs.

Nice relaxing afternoon on the water.... :P

mr willy,

the smaller calamari are stuffed with rice/tomato/herbs and cooked in a nice tomato sauce.... dip a crusty bread in the sauce

no calamari ends up as bait in my boat :au:

Although, having said that, i reckon ive read that squid only live for 12 months, so it will probably die before being caught again.........
All of my squid heads are frozen for bait.........
Unless of course they are too big to use as bait, ha ha!!
