G'day there all,

I'm planning a trip with some mates for three weeks time to go down somewhere around the Eden, Mallacoota, Bermagui, Narooma type of coast.

Where down that way is the best to go.

.... Might try and extreme me a marlin or 2....

HAHA! yeah i hope you have a good float!....don't forget to tie your spear gun to your float so you can let the marlin drag you and the float back to shore...or to new zealand depending on your luck!!!

I think Green Cape would be good if you like diving in very deep water!!! Though I guess there might be a fair few sharks around there?

Or maybe Point Haycock....i am pretty keen on that spot! That is up past Eden. Lots of salmon.

yeah thanks glen. We wont be taking a boat so I'm thinking deep water is out of the question. Point Haycock probably sounds like the go then - wouldnt mind spearing a few salmon. I'm thinking ya cant go too wrong anywhere around that coast as far as abba's and spearfishing goes.

Probably just want a nice easy reef without too many rips and waves first up to ease myself back into the spear fishing season - Just realised I havent been out for nearly 6 months

Glen is right 100% green cape is fantastic for spearfishermen of all levels, and depending how game you are, obviously fairly game if you are considering marlin, you might want to try around pulpit rock if you can access it as you get schools of kingies around there.
