Hi Everyone!
I'm a 2nd year squidfisher from Boston. We used a few cheap jigs last year and had decent success with some, and no success with others. I was wondering if anyone could recommend anything to make my 2nd squid season more productive. Fishing down in Newport, Pink jigs seemed to work the best for me. If anybody knows any good tackle shops in the Boston or Newport area, and any good brand name jigs, your help would be greatly appreciated. I want to stock up soon in anticipation for the first trip! Thanks!
Welcome! I recommend Yo Zuri Brand squid jigs as they work the best. I usually never buy my squid jigs locally from tackle shops because they charge much more than what I would find online. I am too from Boston and plan to be down in Newport when the squid season swings in gear!
