Went to GI Friday night. Not may people there. Very foggy and the tide wasn't great (moving out). Got one right away. Only saw about 7 or 8 from 6:00 to 9:00.

9 Saturday from 8-10. From jumbo to peanut size! Not great weather.

Hi Matt, seems late this year. A friend in Edgartown hes gotten twenty plus the last two nights but no major scores yet. He also said he heard they were getting them in RI but he doesn't come here, maybe he heard some reports on FB.

There are a few people trying on the Newport GI bridge and there is some ink. Couldn’t park close to GI bridge. There is no parking before the bridge. The parking area is all fenced in like few years ago. Construction!

Looks like it is getting close to the end. Water temps are dropping, mackerel are in. Large squid are in. Went 3 days in Newport last week. Size makes up for the smaller quantity. Trying again tonight. Likely our last trip out this year. Good season this year starting in Hyannis this spring. Fished all throughout the summer and fall. Aug and Sept was pretty dead but the rest was productive. Freezer is well stocked. Catch you guys on the 2026 thread.
