Anybody know if they are getting many at GIB? We're thinking of a trip up there next week. Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks, Martin and Ruta

I was the GIB last night from 7:30 to 11:30. High tide was 6:30. There were 4 of us in my group and about 30-40 total people fishing. We only caught 2...yes 2( Nice 16" tubers). I saw maybe 6 squid pulled up all night. The scup were there. Still early, probably gonna go try solo tonight.

My Buddy in Edgartown said larger ones were "all over the place", he nailed them last night from the docks.

A friend of my dads owns The Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown . I asked Dad to ask him to look out his window for us . Might be a little breezy for me to drive over from Buzzards Bay to Edgartown just for a look see so hopefully Ill get a call back .

You can only see rough water from the Harborview if it's blowing east or especially northeast. You cannot see Nantucket sound from the hotel and the harbor is well protected from the south and west. I used to mate on a charter boat out of Edgartown, often it was beautiful leaving the harbor but once we got out around Chappaquiddick and into the sound the water was pretty rough. Good luck if you get over there!!

I was kinda kidding in regards to looking out the window .🤣 but that being said there is a 360 degree view from his buddies top floor presidential suite that had a 1/2 decent view when dad had his 80 th birthday there .

Sea Bass legally opened today and now what with having a Chinese wife and all Ive got a quota to fill to keep her and the girls fed . ( Which at 4 fish a person is going to be hard to keep up with as she herself will nibble down 8 fillets without blinking 🤣 )

until I can find a $9000.00 commercial permit to buy .

Anyone had any luck post storm? Went out of PJ last Saturday to fish and saw a bunch of them jumping by the Frances Fleet boats as we were heading out fishing.

Saturday night was good in Newport! Fall night felt like summer. Squid still all around the bridge. Looks like it won’t last much longer as the temperature drops. No complaints. This Fall has been very good.
